Animal Disaster Services creates and maintains a free shelter for animals during emergency evacuations under the direction of Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management. Founded in 1999, we are a fully trained, all volunteer organization serving Yavapai County. Our shelter locations are normally close to the Red Cross evacuation centers.

LASER - Large Animal Shelters and Emergency Readiness provides safe shelter for barn animals during evacuations in Yavapai County, as well as information for emergency preparedness. LASER has 2 dedicated shelter locations, open only during emergencies. Our largest and primary shelter, provided by Yavapai County, is in Prescott Valley. Our second shelter is in Chino Valley.
