The City of Cottonwood operates six different parks that are all open to the public. Garrsion Park, Riverfront Park, and the Cottonwood Kids Park all have playground equipment. Riverfront Park features a skat epark, skate rink, 18-hole disc golf course and eight softball fields.

General Recreational Activities/Sports/Classes
Located in Cottonwood. Serves Verde Valley.
The parks and recreation team offers many different youth and adult sports programs. Youth volleyball, youth basketball, sports camps, and adult softball and volleyball. Group exercise classes are offered daily at the Cottonwood Recreation Center.

Gym and Recreation Center

Cottonwood Recreation Center: offers a full gym with weights and exercise machines as well as a variety of group exercise classes including yoga, Zumba, aquatics, toning and cycling. Contact the center for more information on schedule.

Hiking Trails
Located in Cottonwood. Serves Verde Valley.
The City of Cottonwood currently operates a small number of trails within the city limits, and help maintain trails at Cliff Rose, Jail Trail, Riverfront Trail and many other small connection points.

Swimming Facilities
Located in Cottonwood. Serves Verde Valley.
The City of Cottonwood operates two different aquatics facilities. A 300,000 gallon, competitive outdoor pool, as well as a 60,000 gallon, recreational indoor pool.
